Is a movie subscription worth it? The break-even math

We don't list a Tuesday ticket price, because none of these chains publishes one national price: AMC, Regal and Cinemark all say prices vary by theatre. Use your own theatre's price instead:

Monthly plan price divided by the ticket price you'd otherwise pay = movies per month to break even.

Snacks: what's actually discounted

AMC's theatre pages list a no outside food and beverage policy, so save clearance candy for a movie night at home. Our after-Halloween clearance guide has the reported markdown timing by store.

Is it still $5 Tuesday?

Not under that name. Marcus's program is now Value Tuesday, and its chart lists $6 tickets for Magical Movie Rewards members and $7 for nonmembers. AMC's old Discount Tuesdays page is gone (it returned AMC's 404 page when we checked on Oct 24, 2026), and AMC's member discount now covers both Tuesdays and Wednesdays. AMC, Regal and Cinemark don't publish a flat Tuesday price; they say prices vary by location.
