Streaming price increases 2026: what every service costs now

Updated October 21, 2026. US prices only. Current prices come from each company's own help or pricing page, except Disney+'s standalone prices, which come from news reports (see below); past prices link their sources. Each row shows when we checked it. If something isn't on an official page, we mark it unconfirmed instead of guessing.

Streaming prices 2026 at a glance

Prices are before tax and for signing up directly. Prices through app stores, cable or phone carriers may differ. Links are plain links, not affiliate links.

Disney+ and Hulu

Hulu's help page says its prices are "for new subscriptions as of September 23, 2026," and existing subscribers "will see a price change in your billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026." Hulu (with ads) is now $12.49 a month or $124.99 a year, Hulu Premium is $21.49, and the Disney+ & Hulu bundle is $12.99 with ads or $21.99 without (Hulu Help Center, checked Oct 21, 2026, 20:05 UTC).

For Disney+'s standalone plans we cite news reports. CBS News and Variety both report that Disney+ (With Ads) went from $11.99 to $12.49 a month and Disney+ Premium from $18.99 to $21.49 a month, for new subscribers from September 23, with existing subscribers moving on their next bill. CNN reports the same new prices. All three report the Disney+, Hulu bundle at $12.99 a month with ads and $21.99 for Premium, matching Hulu's help page. Time Out reports the Premium annual plan went from $189.99 to $214.99 a year. (CBS News, Variety, CNN, Time Out, checked Oct 21, 2026, 20:04 UTC.) Disney+'s own help page showed these new prices on some of our loads on Oct 20 and the old $11.99 and $18.99 prices on others, so we don't cite it for now.

Netflix

Netflix's help page lists Standard with ads at $8.99, Standard at $19.99 and Premium at $26.99 a month (Netflix Help Center, checked Oct 21, 2026, 20:04 UTC). Extra members cost $7.99 (with ads) or $9.99 (without ads). Netflix has no annual plan. These prices took effect on March 26, 2026 for new members, up from $7.99, $17.99 and $24.99; existing members are emailed a month before their price changes (Netflix, via TechCrunch and Variety).

Netflix US price changes, 2020-2026

Monthly prices for new members; existing members move on their billing cycle. Basic closed to new US members in July 2023 (The Verge); Netflix's help page now says "The Basic plan has been discontinued." WWE Raw: per WWE and Netflix, Netflix has been Raw's exclusive home in the US since January 2025, streaming live Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.

Peacock

Peacock's help page says prices changed on August 18, 2026, for new and returning subscribers: Select from $7.99 to $8.99, Premium from $10.99 to $12.99 and Premium Plus from $16.99 to $19.99 a month (annual: $89.99, $129.99 and $199.99). Existing subscribers moved on their next billing date on or after September 17. Current annual subscribers keep their price until the plan renews. The Apple TV and Peacock bundles went from $14.99 to $17.99 (Premium) and from $19.99 to $22.99 (Premium Plus) on September 1, with existing subscribers changing on or after October 1.

HBO Max, Paramount+ and YouTube TV

HBO Max is $10.99, $18.49 or $22.99 a month (or $109.99, $184.99 or $229.99 a year), with no 2026 increase listed. Paramount+ says its prices changed for new subscribers on January 15, 2026: Essential $8.99 a month ($89.99 a year) and Premium $13.99 ($139.99 a year). YouTube TV's main plan is $82.99 a month; its Sports plan is $64.99 on the plan card and in the FAQ, though the renewal fine print on the same plans page lists the Sports Plan at $54.99. Its Entertainment plan is $54.99.

Spotify, Apple TV and Fubo

Spotify's US Premium page lists Individual at $12.99, Student $6.99, Duo $18.99 and Family $21.99 a month; Spotify announced a US price update on January 15, 2026. Apple TV is $14.99 a month. Fubo says its TV plans are going up $15 a month (Pro and Essential to $88.99, Elite to $98.99), and Fubo Sports $9 to $64.99, with the date depending on when NBCUniversal channels launch in your area.

Cheapest way to watch

• Ad tiers: Netflix Standard with ads, Paramount+ Essential and Peacock Select are each $8.99 a month. HBO Max Basic with Ads is $10.99 and Hulu (with ads) $12.49.
• Bundles: the Disney+ & Hulu bundle with ads is $12.99, just 50 cents more than Hulu alone. The Apple TV and Peacock Premium bundle is $17.99.
• Annual plans: HBO Max ($109.99, $184.99 or $229.99 a year; HBO says that saves 16%), Peacock ($89.99, $129.99 or $199.99), Paramount+ ($89.99 or $139.99) and Hulu with ads ($124.99). Netflix doesn't offer one.
• Live TV: YouTube TV's Entertainment plan is $54.99 a month and its Sports plan $64.99 (its fine print lists $54.99), versus $82.99 for the main plan.
• Music: Spotify Duo ($18.99, 2 accounts) and Family ($21.99, up to 6) cost less per person than separate Individual plans.
